Assam
Assam
If you like it strong, this is your cup of tea: dark, robust, malty, yet balanced by a smooth fired biscuity layer. Named after the town where the leaves are grown in India, Assam is grown along the mineral rich banks of the Brahmaputra river. This rich black tea is often used as the base for Chai tea, and is more than enough to stand on its own. Deep sienna-copper liquor takes well with milk and honey. AKA the coffee drinker’s tea.
