Hojicha Matcha

$24.00

A not-so-distant cousin to matcha, hojicha is also from Japan and prepared like matcha. Hojicha is roasted tea that is ground into a fine powder with warm, nutty and more savory notes. Gaining popularity outside of Japan, this also takes well with a variety of milks and a dash of your favorite spice.

This hojicha matcha is pure plant power, and unsweetened. No additives or sweeteners are ever needed with high quality matcha; in its’ clean, simple form, a well-produced matcha imparts a smooth, delicate matcha experience and the lingering sweetness left on your palette comes purely from the high quality leaf. Due to its roasty character, we recommend pairing with an aged gouda, roasted nuts, or sea salt caramels.

Sip your Hojicha Matcha judiciously, since you’re taking in the entire tea leaf (as opposed to a steeping from the leaf) you might find yourself quickly tea drunk! {tea drunk = caffeine high, lol!}

1.2 oz. tea tin makes about 12-15 servings. Tin dimensions are 3” tall by 2.75” wide.

Each tin is safety sealed.
