Clouds & Mist

$28.00

Clouds and Mist green tea leans on more herbaceous tones with notes of atrichoke and buttered toast. Leaves grow slowly on the slopes of Mount Lu in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, China, which rests between two bodies of water, the Yangtze River to the North and the Poyang Lake to the South. Creating a continual fingerling mist and the blockage of the sun makes for the perfect resting place to develop the tea’s delicate sweetness.

The story goes, migrating birds carried seeds to mountain altitude over 1,000 years ago, and later the leaves were harvested by monks residing in the area. Clouds and Mist, also known as Yun Wu, has many poems and folklore written about it. Taste the music, taste the myth, taste the rich, bright, slightly savory and slightly fruity green tea of Clouds and Mist.
